The Institute, by virtue of Presidential Decree 1060 and Republic Act 7157,established the Carlos P. Romulo School of Diplomacy (CPRSD) with mandate to further professionalize the Philippine Foreign Service Corps. The CPRSD provides programs on languages widely-spoken in international forums, and develops program designs for the training needs of people involved in the conduct of international affairs. It further serves as a venue for continuous learning activities specifically in the fields of international relations, international politics and law, multilateral and bilateral diplomacy consular affairs, international organizations, assistance to nationals and negotiations.
